Canaan, New Hampshire is a town with a great sense of community everywhere you look. The first weekend in August there is the Canaan Old Home Days, which you want to be sure not to miss! It’s a weekend full of events, games for the children, a soapbox derby race, a small craft fair, and fun for all. The Snowmobile club and the Mt. Cardigan Fish & Game Club is also run by volunteers, who work on the trails, doing fundraisers all year long, and help organize events such as Hunter’s Education Courses.

Canaan Street Lake, covering approximately 291 acres, is a beautiful spot for boating, fishing, swimming, relaxing, winter-time skating & much more. The heritage of New England is strong in this town, valuing history, old time lessons, and the old ways. The historical museum, meeting house and other historic properties in the town are rich in history.
